What is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior in which one intimate partner uses physical or sexual violence, coercion, threats, intimidation, isolation or emotional or economic abuse to control the other partner.
Anyone can be a victim of domestic violence regardless of age, race, socioeconomic status, religion or personality.
• Over 4.5 million assaults are committed against U.S. women by intimate partners each year
