WHAT: MAN is a group of community and business leaders promoting the message that domestic violence is unacceptable in our community and that violence against women is always wrong. MAN’s focus is on prevention and accountability for the abusers.
WHO: MAN members are men working together to end abuse of women and girls. MAN members contribute to the Arizona Foundation for Women to become members.

WHY: Nationally, one in four women surveyed say they were violently attacked by their husbands or boyfriends. Nationwide, domestic violence costs business over $8 billion each year in medical care and lost productivity. In Arizona, every 5 minutes there is a call made to the police for domestic violence generating nearly 50,000 police reports each year. Every year more than 12,000 children witness domestic violence acts in their home. 40% of Valley teens have been affected by dating violence.
HOW: MAN members support the creation of public awareness education programs that focus on prevention and target the abuser. MAN members speak to a wide range of corporate and community audiences about domestic violence and its economic impact on our community. MAN supports small and medium businesses with the “Employers Against Domestic Violence Program.” MAN members advocate on behalf of women and girls on government policies and legislation.
